Nurse Manager (GO-00599882)

The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting with operational oversight of Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford (SHNB) designated for the care of individuals with a highly complex Psychiatric diagnosis and Mental Health care needs, requiring a level of care and frequency of intervention not routinely provided in an Acute Mental Health setting. The scope of practice of the interdisciplinary care team includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Nurse Practitioners, Therapists, Social Workers, Community Mental Health Nurses, Staff Nurses and other direct care providers. Services include Short Term Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services, Extended Rehabilitation Services, Forensic Services, and Combined Mental Health/Corrections Services. There are several specialized Psychosocial Rehabilitation programs, outpatient services, forensic program services as well as respite, assessment and consultation on a provincial basis.

In the absence of the Director of SHNB, the Nursing Manager may be assigned to assume their duties.


Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field

Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body if applicable

Experience, at an operational level, as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning and programs in a complex, multi stakeholder environment

2 years of experience in a position of leadership with progressive advancement, including engagement in personal and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills

Valid Class 5 driver’s license


Expected Start Date: August 17, 2020

Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Out-of-Scope Management Compensation
